The festivals would frequently involve bonfires, into which bones of slaughtered livestock were thrown. Costumes and masks were also worn at the festivals in an attempt to mimic the evil spirits or placate them.”
So what happens in New York? every single girl I speak to is dressing up as a slut. Most aren’t even doing “sexy witch” or “scantily clad vombie”, but are going straight for the “slutty nurse” or “slutty army officer” or my favourite “Slutty Slut”.
That all said, all the slutty sluts do look pretty cool, and can loosely be defined as “evil spirits” so I don’t know what I am complaining about. I was thinking of just going as a “murderer”. Just in my normal clothes.
I went to a party where everyone was dressed as slutty sluts for halloween. it was an adult party and the dress code was a pre-requisite for getting in – but i enjoyed it all the same. i am not sure what you are complaining about. Let the sexually repressed women of New York get their slut on – it is probably the only chance each year they get too indulge without being judged! Put a mask on, throw a poor helpless slaughtered piece of livestock onto the bonfire, consume your candy and enjoy it weirdo. don’t be so un-american! It is only Halloween!
